Privacy policy

I want this to be the cruise site you trust, so here is exactly what happens with your information when you visit Kate's Travel Hacks. The short version: I do not collect your name or email unless you choose to send me one, and I never sell your data to anyone.

What gets collected

  • Basic analytics. I use Google Analytics to see which guides people find useful, in aggregate. That covers things like pages viewed, rough location by country, and the kind of device used. It is not tied to your identity.
  • Affiliate clicks. When you tap an Amazon link, my analytics records that a click happened so I know which gear is helpful. Amazon then uses its own cookie to credit any purchase to this site.
  • Nothing you do not give me. There are no accounts to create here and no newsletter sign-up forms harvesting your inbox.

Cookies and third parties

Two outside services may set cookies: Google Analytics (to measure traffic) and Amazon (to credit qualifying purchases through the Associates Program). You can clear or block cookies any time in your browser settings, and the site still works fine without them.

Advertising

Kate's Travel Hacks may show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partner vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings, opt out of many vendors at aboutads.info, and read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your choices

You can browse without sharing anything personal, opt out of Google Analytics with their browser add-on, and control cookies through your browser. If you ever email me, I will only use your message to reply to you.

If this policy changes, the updated version will live right here. Last updated June 2026.
